About The Project
San Francisco Beautiful and the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) presented Muni Art 2018. Partnered with the Poetry Society of America (sponsors of Poetry in Motion®) and Supervisor London Breed, Muni Art 2018 transformed ordinary buses into art galleries and for the first time local poetry was included. The Muni Art buses showcased the 2018 theme, “The Art of Poetry in San Francisco”. Five preselected poems were interpreted visually by the year’s five winners. Along with three additional paintings to round out each winner's eight piece collections.
As one of the Muni Art 2018 winners, Randi's collection (featured above) was housed on Muni buses all over San Francisco from January to April 2018.
